Team Mosaic

Team Mosaic was incorporated in New Zealand in January 1988 for the purpose of helping people work more effectively and efficiently in groups and organisations.

Directors Peter & Shirley Walsh, provide quality individual management and team leadership consultancy.

Our philosophy is to partner with your organisation to design a consulting process that builds on your organisation's strengths and uses state-of-the-art human technology to move you into the high performance zone.

Team Mosaic has access to materials and resources developed locally and abroad. Our association with High Performing Systems Inc enables us to offer individuals and organisations access to a world-class organisational development system, providing assessment, consulting, training and materials.

In association with international organisations and researchers, we provide a bank of well-resourced and robust psychometric instruments for use in helping organisations move into the high performance zone.

Team Mosaic's philosophy is guided by the belief that efficiency, effectiveness and profitability are about people. We appreciate that people differ markedly in the way they gather and process information and make decisions. Effective teams recognise and use the diversity of the individual - enhancing organisational and individual health.

A team has to work at being a team. Team Mosaic work with your existing team to develop the skills and strategies needed to bring the team together. As Jim Collins says in his book Good to Great, we need to get "the right people on the bus, the wrong people off the bus, and the right people in the right seats." [P184]

Team Mosaic is proud to have offered professional advice and services to the following organisations

Team Mosaic offers an extensive range of professional workshops and assessments tailored to the needs of the client. Our techniques are practical, effective and create a positive change in your bottom line.

Gosling Chapman Accountants - Carole Bates, HR Manager

"Peter has played an important role in assisting Gosling Chapman to develop high performing people. He has introduced some excellent HR tools to enable us to develop our people to their full potential. He also plays an invaluable role as an external mentor for people up to very senior levels".

Kodak New Zealand Limited - Murray Walton, Managing Director

"The experience we have had at Kodak NZ with Peter since we first engaged him some 5 years ago has been very positive on our organisation. In terms of people development there can be no higher measure than the number of people that we have been able to promote through the company here in NZ into Australia and to the Eastman Kodak Company at large.

As a result of the work we did with Peter in a group of around 25 people we have promoted 50% of them into senior roles in the past 5 years with 8 of those being transferred to senior roles in Australia, Singapore and Rochester New York.

In terms of performance management Peter was able to work within our existing performance measurement system but apply new tools and techniques that added significant value to a global Kodak system.  I personally have learnt a great deal in working with Peter that has helped me develop my leadership skills and progress my career with Kodak."

Novartis New Zealand

At Novartis New Zealand we set out to transform the company into a high performance organisation. We needed to set expectations by implementing our performance management system consistently throughout the organisation and to embrace our corporate culture by living its values.

Beginning with the management team and cascading down the organisation Peter helped us understand how people are different, which in turn helped us work more effectively together as a team. He also assisted us to implement our performance appraisal system and undertook mentoring and personal coaching of executives across the company.

The outcomes were significant with staff being clear about expectations, being more committed to the company, aligning themselves with the culture and being more productive in their work.

Orica Explosives - Peter McGill, NZ Manager

"Recent change management programmes within our business, has generated a high degree of uncertainty, impacting on staff morale and general output.  Team Mosaic provided us with the performance management tools to refocus on the issues and deliver positive direction and growth".
